I opened my email a few days ago from Ethan’s school. It was a modified date for the last day of school.

Do you want me stop doing that? I want everyone to stop doing that! I know that denial and avoidance are very ineffective techniques to employ at this time. Sure, it might feel good to not think about it, but I am still rational enough to know that THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL is, in fact, quickly approaching.

Maybe it will be less painful if we are all in this together.
